I’m a big fan of knives, gear, and gadgets. For Christmas my girlfriend did well to get me some things that were on my ever-evolving want list. Here’s a few of those things, including some nice clothes she got me so I don’t always look like a Carhartt wearing dude, not that there’s anything wrong with that. New Levi’s 501 jeans and an American Apparel chambray shirt.

The neat little French knife is an Opinel No. 7. It has a super simple locking mechanism and a functional, lightweight, handsome design, perfect for tossing in a pocket. The Swedish folding saw is a Bahco Laplander. Axes are awesome, but sometimes a saw is the better tool for the job, and these are great little saws for camping. My keychain boasts two new additions, a Leatherman Squirt PS4 and a ITP A3 EOS flashlight. The Squirt is a super useful, tiny little multitool with pliers, scissors, knife, screwdrivers, and a file, and that little light pumps out more lumens than a giant 4 D cell Maglite. Sweet.
