Thinking about On Any Sunday reminded me of Cycles South. If On Any Sunday makes you want to try out motorcycling, this film will make you want to drop everything, get on a motorcycle, and ride to Central America. A story of three friends on an adventure they had to take, watch as they do their best to have as much fun as possible while riding their motorcycles from Denver to Panama. Released just before On Any Sunday, Cycles South examines a different aspect of motorcycling that reflects it’s time through adventure motorcycling in an exercise of living life to it’s fullest. There’s some great scenes and memorable lines, and like When Were You Young?, it succeeds in inspiring the viewer to create an adventure of their own.

Beware, it’s not a PC movie, there’s some drug use and brief nudity, and plenty of suggestive themes and overtly sexist behavior throughout. Remind yourself that it comes from a different era and you can laugh some of the ridiculousness off. Yes, there’s cheesy voiceover acting and some obviously planned out gag scenes, but overall this is a great film about freedom and the joy of riding motorcycles, a message that comes through loud and clear. I just watched it for the third time and it was just as enjoyable as the first. I recommend clicking here to watch which should automatically play the next part as each part ends. Otherwise, here are the other parts: Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, and Part 7. It’s also streaming on Netflix if you use that service. Enjoy!

Thanks to HTSTVR.
