Check out this great Motorcyclist story by Kurt Markham about his experience with fellow racing enthusiast Harvey Mushman AKA Steve McQueen. Looks like even though he wasn’t using his alias at this race, McQueen was rallying hard for the win. It’s a cool account of the unheralded weekend heroics that these riders loved to take part in for the simple enjoyment of racing motorcycles.
